Free Construction Timesheet Template
A clean weekly timesheet built for construction crews: one row per day, columns for the job or site, start and end times, breaks, regular and overtime hours — with totals that calculate themselves in Excel. Free to download and use, no signup required.
What's in the template
- Employee and week header — company, employee name, trade or ID, supervisor, hourly rate, and week starting date.
- One row per day, Monday to Sunday — date, job or site, start time, end time, and break minutes.
- Regular, overtime, and total hours — daily totals and weekly sums calculate automatically in the Excel version.
- Signature lines — employee signature and supervisor approval, so the sheet stands up as a payroll record.
How to use it
- Print a copy per worker per week, or share the Excel file.
- Have workers record times daily — end-of-week recollection is where most timesheet errors come from.
- Enter break time in minutes and keep overtime in its own column so payroll can apply the right rate.
- Have a supervisor sign before the sheet goes to payroll. In most provinces you must keep time records for several years — file them.
The honest limitation of any paper timesheet
A template fixes the format, but not the process: sheets still get filled in from memory on Friday, still get lost in trucks, and still have to be re-typed into payroll. And nothing on paper tells you whether the hours were worked on site.
That's the problem JobSnap exists to solve — workers punch in from their phone, every punch is GPS-verified against the jobsite, and the timesheet writes itself as the week happens. If the template below saves you time, the app will save you more.
