Jobsite Photos and Daily Logs That Stay With the Job
Six months after a job closes, someone asks what the trench looked like before backfill. The photo exists — on a phone that belongs to a worker who left in the fall. JobSnap files every photo, daily report, and note under the job it belongs to, the day it happens, so the record outlives the phone.
Photos that file themselves
- Straight onto the job. A photo taken in the app is attached to the job, with the date and the person who took it. The office sees the site without calling anyone.
- One gallery for the whole company. Browse every photo in a single timeline, filter by job or by employee, or search with a few words like “fence” or “concrete pour”.
- Mark up what matters. Draw on a photo with a pen, arrows, boxes, circles, and text to point out a defect or a change. Save the marked-up version as a copy or replace the original.
- Share a batch at once. Select several photos and send them to a customer, an inspector, or a sub from your phone's share menu.
A daily report in a couple of minutes
At the end of the day, whoever ran the job answers three short questions about it: what got done, what caused delays or extra work, and what is needed for tomorrow. You can change those questions and add your own fields in settings. The report records the day's weather and can show the crew's labour hours and equipment hours for that job, pulled from the timesheet so nobody writes them twice.
Set a due time if you want reports in by a certain hour, and choose who receives the daily summary by email. Owners who aren't on site get the day's reports in their inbox without opening the app.
Notes, by voice or by hand
For everything that doesn't fit a form — a walk-through with the customer, a list of deficiencies, a reminder for Monday — write a note or record one out loud. Notes can hold checklists, photos, and recordings, and can be linked to a job or a customer. A note is private until you share it with your team or send someone a link.
One feed per job
Open a job and its feed shows the history in order: photos, documents, daily reports, notes, estimates, and invoices. That feed is what you pull up when a customer disputes a change, an inspector asks for proof, or you're pricing a similar job next year. The hours behind it come from GPS time tracking, and machine hours from equipment tracking.
Photos, daily reports, and notes are included in the single $5 per employee per month price, on iOS, Android, and the web, in English and French.
